These Terms & Conditions apply to all bookings, services and agreements provided by Canal Club, operating in Amsterdam, The Netherlands.
By making a reservation, requesting a quotation, or using our services, you agree to the terms outlined below.
1. Definitions
Canal Club: the operator providing private boat experiences, charters and related services.
Client: any individual or legal entity making a booking or request.
Consumer (B2C): a natural person acting for purposes outside their trade or profession.
Business Client (B2B): any company, organisation, agency or individual acting in the course of business.
Booking: any confirmed reservation, quotation acceptance or written agreement.
Event: any private cruise, corporate event, celebration or experience hosted by Canal Club.
2. Applicability
These Terms & Conditions apply to all B2C and B2B bookings, unless explicitly agreed otherwise in writing.
In case of conflict between these Terms & Conditions and a specific written agreement, the written agreement shall prevail.
3. Booking & Confirmation
A booking is only considered final after written confirmation by Canal Club.
Canal Club reserves the right to refuse any booking without stating reasons.
The Client is responsible for providing correct and complete information at all times.
4. Pricing & Payments
All prices are stated in EUR, unless otherwise indicated.
Prices may be subject to change until a booking is confirmed.
Payment methods may include:
Credit Card
iDEAL
PayPal
Apple Pay
Google Pay
Bank transfer (B2B or on request)
Payment Terms
B2C: full payment may be required before the event.
B2B: invoices must be paid within the agreed payment term stated on the invoice.
Canal Club reserves the right to cancel services if payment is not received on time.
5. Cancellation & Changes
B2C (Consumers)
Cancellation terms will be communicated at the time of booking.
No-shows or late cancellations may result in full charge.
B2B (Business Clients)
All bookings are binding once confirmed.
Cancellations, date changes or reductions in group size may result in:
Partial or full invoicing
Retention of deposits
Commercial risk lies with the Business Client unless agreed otherwise.
6. Weather & Force Majeure
Canal Club is not liable for cancellations, delays or changes caused by force majeure, including but not limited to:
Extreme weather conditions
Government restrictions
Technical failures beyond reasonable control
Safety risks as determined by the skipper
In such cases, Canal Club may offer:
Rescheduling
A suitable alternative
Partial refund at its discretion
No compensation for consequential damages will be provided.
7. Safety & Conduct
The skipper’s instructions must be followed at all times.
Canal Club reserves the right to terminate an event without refund in case of:
Unsafe behaviour
Excessive intoxication
Damage to the vessel
Disrespect towards crew or property
The Client is responsible for the behaviour of all guests.
8. Liability
Participation is at the Client’s own risk.
Canal Club is not liable for:
Personal injury
Loss or damage of personal belongings
Indirect or consequential damages
Liability is limited to the amount paid for the booking, unless mandatory law dictates otherwise.
For B2B Clients, liability is explicitly limited to direct damages only.
9. Damage to Vessel or Equipment
Any damage caused by the Client or guests will be:
Fully charged to the Client
Invoiced separately if necessary
Canal Club reserves the right to withhold deposits or charge additional costs.
10. Intellectual Property & Media
Canal Club may use photos or videos taken during events for marketing purposes unless explicitly objected to in writing.
B2B Clients may not use Canal Club branding, imagery or materials without prior consent.
11. Privacy & Data Protection
Personal data is processed in accordance with applicable privacy laws and Canal Club’s Privacy Policy.
12. Complaints
Any complaints must be reported:
During the event where possible
Or within 48 hours after the event in writing
Late complaints may not be considered.
13. Governing Law & Jurisdiction
These Terms & Conditions are governed by Dutch law.
Any disputes shall be submitted exclusively to the competent court in Amsterdam.
14. Final Provisions
Canal Club may update these Terms & Conditions at any time.
The most recent version published on the website always applies.
